DescriptionThought Machine is solving one of the biggest problems in banking. Thought Machine's core product Vault is a cloud native, core banking engine built to run any type of bank - from established Tier 1 banks all the way to new challenger banks.

As a Technical QA Tester, you will work as part of engineering teams to ensure Vault is delivered to a high standard for our customers. You will ensure that our client application and API work correctly and seamlessly.

DUTIES
  • Reviewing and analysing system requirements whilst working closely with tech leads
  • Aligning with a domain team and understand the architecture of the product
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop effective test strategies which are scalable for a large number of users of Vault
  • Creating documenting and executing test scenarios and analyse results
  • Reporting defects and ensure they are triaged and resolved according to stated SLAs
  • Troubleshooting issues during development and highlight risk areas for testing
  • Conducting pre and post-release testing
  • Liaising with release management in a timely manner
  • Working closely with the Head of Quality to improve quality related processes within the engineering teams and help implement the Quality Roadmap at Thought Machine
  • Working closely with the team to bake quality in the process
EssentialRequirements
  • Experience in automated API testing
  • Experience of Exploratory testing
  • Experience using Python
  • Extensive experience in QA methodology
  • Familiarity with agile frameworks and regression testing
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good understanding of test automation and ability to work independently on this
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills
Desirable
  • Experience using GO
  • Experience with non-functional testing
  • Ability to present to teams
