Android Developer/Programmer/Engineer - Kotlin

6 Month Contract

£480pd inside IR35

This position is initially 100% remote, once the pandemic is over (Aug/Sep this year or 2022), it will be 1 or 2 days a week on-site, their office is based in Manchester city centre.

Position Description:

Android Engineer working on a connected vehicle app to provide mobility solutions for people and connections into the cars data. This is an Android Developer position within a leading car manufacturer that's new to Manchester. The Android Engineer role will work as part of a Balanced Team and collaborate with a Product Owner, Product Manager, and Product Designer to deliver projects and features to support this. This is a senior role on the team and would be looking to mentor and grow more junior members.

Skills Required:

Android Studio, Kotlin Gradle, Java, Rx Java, Dagger 2.0, Calabash, Espresso, Android SDK's, Concurrency, RESTful, JSON & XML, MVC, Preferably MVVM, MVP, Junit, Maps API's, Here Maps , Autonavi



Experience Required:

It is key that you are used to and have experience with Test Driven Development and exposure to working in a pairing environment. It is also working very closely with Product Designers and Product Managers and knowledge of mapping based solutions is Key as the European team has the lead on the Find work stream



Experience Preferred:

Experience with Software Development tools (Backlog Management (Pivotal Tracker), Source Code Management (GIT), CI/CD (Jenkins)



Education Required:

BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
