Job Details

As a Technical Architect at LV=GI you will join a small team of TAs as part of the wider Architecture group reporting into the Lead Architect. You will define Enterprise Technology Strategies for the Company, whilst taking account of the Technology direction of the wider Allianz Group; put in place repeatable Architecture Patterns, and produce Infrastructure Solution Designs with Security and Service as one of the key aspects of these Designs.

Breadth of knowledge in public cloud (Azure or AWS) and its core services and capabilities are essential for this role

This is an interesting opportunity because you will also be working with the Solution Architecture team and bridge the gap between both Solution and Technical Architecture, understanding functional and non-functional requirements in domains like Claims, Policy Admin, Quote and Buy. You'll keep ahead of new trends and developments by researching market leading technologies and services and building business cases to justify purchases and implementation to the Architectural Design Authorities.

You'll be working with a variety of business and technical stakeholders, understanding overall Business and IT Strategy, organisational fit, compliance and ongoing change requirements. This senior role has a high level of accountability and influence too, so your working relationships will be built on trust, influence and collaboration. Whilst not a hands-on role, you'll be providing advice and guidance in decision making and implementations, and ensuring they are commercially viable and for the benefit of LV=GI.

About you

With your broad experience across Enterprise Technologies, as our new Technical Architect you'll bring experience of a number of SME roles. You're a translator of business requirements into technology, service and security deliverables, and having worked in financial services before, have a practical understanding of Security and Risk in GI IT businesses.

You'll have excellent interpersonal skills, having the ability to interact at all business levels, including everyone from the CEO to other technical SMEs. LV=GI is an increasingly Agile organisation, so your experience of working within this methodology in cross functional teams is essential

Your exposure to support, Implementation and Solution Design in core Technologies (Windows, Linux, Web, Middleware, Database, Security Gateways, LAN/WAN Networking) is essential; as isyour exposure to support, Implementation and Solution Design in large Public Cloud (Azure or AWS).Your Experience of designing (including requirements traceability) secure, high performing, highly available Technology Solutions; IT Security and Risk experience as part of an Architecture role are also required.

Experience of Solution and Integration architecture patterns is desirable, and an interest in bridging both the Technical and Solution Architect roles in your next career move makes this position a great fit for you. You should be a good communicator both in writing and in person to liaise with, and influence, stakeholders at every level. Adaptable, you'll enjoy working with others collaboratively, but also be able to work independently to self-start tasks and prioritise the competing priorities in your work load.
