The LV=GI Product Owner Practice is evolving, and at this exciting time of change we have two positions available - one in the Pricing team and the other in our Direct business area. Your role will be to prioritise and agree the Portfolio backlog in your business area, to ensure that delivery of project MVP (Minimum Viable Product) can be achieved within the agreed timeframes. Working alongside the Product Manager, other Product Owners, Third Parties, Scrum Master and Epic Managers, you'll be responsible for driving delivery of the Pricing or Direct business requirements, development and testing in order to provide the required functionality and business benefits.

This Agile delivery model will see you working collaboratively and effectively within the over-arching strategy, vision and roadmap of the business area. As the interface between third parties, internal stakeholders and scrum teams, you'll support the Project Manager to ensure a joined up approach and hold responsibility for the final product delivery.

As the Product Owner, you'll be responsible for Stakeholder Management, Backlog Maintenance, Quality Control and act as a key decision maker. You'll sign off completed development work, make decisions relating to Pricing or Direct to influence whether user stories are accepted or rejected, and which sprint will develop them. You will take ownership for Release/Warranty Management, Scrum Team Engagement and Escalation, ensuring all risks are flagged to the appropriate parties within GI.

About you

As an experienced Product Owner, your background will either be working within the financial sector in either the Motor and/or Home portfolios of an insurance business in either a Direct team or Pricing team. Your CV will highlight any working knowledge of technologies such as Point of Quote, Polaris, CRS and CQS, and the Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter. You'll bring the energy, and charisma of an Agile PO to get the team working collaboratively and efficiently.

A base understanding of the GI Change landscape, how the Pricing Agile Release train fits within this, and the wider landscape of the insurance sector will be a great advantage as you join us at a time of improvement and flux. The new model will see a ladder of progression open up to you within LV=GI's Product Owner Practice.

Your excellent communication skills and stakeholder relationships will help you get the most out of your teammates, third parties and business area. With your experience, you will share best practice, bring a fresh approach, and use the current time of change to drive further improvements.
