Our Client is a well-regarded independent prep school in London. The Head of Science will encourage and support pupils to take up non-academic opportunities too and to contribute to the wider community.
The school encourages pupils to become strong, confident and articulate individuals and to reach their full potential. This will enable the pupils to take on challenges of the next stage of their lives and in the next stage of their education, too.
The successful Candidate for Head of Science:
As Head of Science, you will support Science Teachers within the department and you will be required to teach across the age range up to KS3. A Head of Science with some scholarship experience is highly desired. The Head of Science will have an enthusiasm for developing the pupils passions and enthusiasms for all three sciences. The successful Head of Science must have experience leading pupils through examinations and will ideally have held a middle leadership position previously. That said though I am also keen to speak with Science subject specialists that may be looking to take the next step in their career.
Essential criteria for the Head of Science:
* A good degree in Biology, Physics, Chemistry or a related discipline
* Ability to adopt and deliver a variety of teaching and learning styles
* A thorough knowledge and a real enthusiasm for Science
* Successful teaching experience across the ability and age range
* Ability and confidence to teach high-achieving students and support less able students
