Auditory Verbal UK (AVUK) is an award winning national charity that is transforming the lives of deaf children across the UK. AVUK already has a strong board and wants to take the opportunity to enrich it further by recruiting additional trustees with a rich diversity of background, experience and thought.
AVUK is looking for 3 new trustees with knowledge and/or experience of one or more of the following: Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusivity, Organisational Change and Public Sector/Senior Civil Service.

As a Trustee you will be involved in the governance of the charity, setting the strategic direction as well as supporting the Chief Executive Officer. The expectations are that trustees will attend and actively participate at the quarterly board meetings; AGM and Board Strategy Day. You will take the lead at board for your area of speciality, bringing ideas and experience to board discussions and actively engage with related AVUK staff roles.
You do not need previous governance experience and upon appointment successful trustees will receive a full induction into the workings and operations of the board and of the charity and its work.
