Cedar are supporting a Local Authority who are looking to hire 2 x Category Specialists on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. This role has a salary range of £50,000 up to £60,000 (depending on experience) on offer and will be based both from home and on client site in the East of England (ideally 1-2 days per week in line with government guidance).
The Category Specialists will lead the development of strategies which will determine how annual 3rd party spend, on contracts up to £100 million in value, is managed and will also be required to lead the management of contracts and supplier relationships up to this value.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE experience which covers:
Ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards
Knowledge of Category Management and Procurement within the Public Sector is required
Experience managing multi-million-pound large, complex and business critical contracts end to end
Experience working in a similar role in the Public Sector covering Corporate, Place or People Services would be advantageous
