Churchill Howard have recently been instructed by a global quoted brand named organisation in Birmingham to recruit a Senior Manager of Controls and Risk focusing on Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
This role acts as the number 1 in this area of the business and involves team and performance management of a small but well established department. You will gain strategic exposure including as the committee chair and also working closely with the auditors and, as you would expect, all relevant senior stakeholders.
Your modus operandi will include the maintenance of a robust internal controls environment and effective risk management process as well as compliance with SOx legislation. There should also be an ongoing development of the finance governance framework within the organisation.
This is a high profile critical role within the business and those who wish to establish themselves effectively and progress within the organisation will have the opportunity to do so.
Suitable applicants will:
- Have gained relevant experience to an equivalent level in either a large listed organisation or within a top tier accountancy practice. - Have gained a recognised accountancy qualification. - Have good knowledge and experience of SOx. - Be able to demonstrate excellent internal and external stakeholder management and be a reputable voice across the business.
