Reed HR Lancaster, have been appointed on a retained basis, to assist our industry leading and award winning client with the recruitment of a Learning and Development Manager to join their team on a full time and permanent basis, due to the growth of the organisation.

The successful candidates roles and responsibilities will include the following:
  • Set the strategy for L&D in the business aligned with the company goals and culture
  • Ensure L&D is ingrained in company culture
  • Create unique and inspiring induction programmes for the different areas in the business
  • Work with various departments to ensure the best craft training tools for all the departments within the business
  • Inspire a group of Trainers who ensure new starters get the best possible beginning to their journey
  • Work with our Head of H&S to create effective and engaging Food Safety & H&S training materials
  • Manage the 'Development Pathways' and create inspiring training material to develop Colleagues
  • Create an annual course calendar which has a blended learning approach, balancing classroom and digital delivery methods
  • Set up a Leadership Learning Centre - that becomes the hub of the business
  • Set up an LMS and E-Learning system
  • Be up to date on the digital learning agenda including Virtual reality - pushing the boundaries on how people can learn
  • Manage the Apprenticeship Programs and ensure we are maximising our apprenticeship levy whilst also ensuring we only work with the best providers
  • Recruit and Manage 2 x Learning Managers to ensure the best learning experience for new colleagues on the job and in all departments
  • Create meaningful L&D KPI's that inform our L&D strategy.

The successful candidate will:
  • Have experience in a similar L&D role
  • Be a natural people person who can identify the potential in individuals and bring it out
  • Be compassionate, and able to work with colleagues on all levels
  • Be highly organised and self driven
  • Be resilient in setting standards and driving them
  • Be a creative and forward thinker
  • Be able to keep up to date with relevant learning methods
  • Be influential and able to build a multitude of relationships
  • Will be down to earth and able to work collaboratively
  • Require a full and valid license to travel across various sites
