The Northern Lighthouse Board, in partnership with Forth Valley College, are offering Engineering apprenticeships to passionate and aspiring engineers.
The Northern Lighthouse Board is the General Lighthouse Authority for Scotland and the Isle of Man, established by statute to provide, maintain and inspect marine aids to navigation throughout its waters.
As an apprentice you will learn to fault-find, read technical drawings and develop craft skills associated with electrical and mechanical engineering. The role involves working on a wide range of electrical, electronic equipment and mechanical plant equipment. As well as undertaking a comprehensive training programme with Forth Valley College you will be assigned a 'mentor' who will support and advise you throughout the programme.
You will have 4 National 5's including Maths, English, and Physics. Highers in these subjects would be desirable.
The current pay band for an Apprentice is £11,581 per year and is reviewed annually. Other benefits include a career average occupational pension scheme and gym membership.
