Attendance Manager job with Pendle Vale College in Lancashire, required September 2021.
37 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Grade 7, SCP 19 - 25
Salary - £25,481 - £29,577 pro rata (Actual Salary - £21,506 - £24,964)
The College is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, hardworking and innovative individual to embrace the responsibilities of an Attendance Improvement Manager at Pendle Vale College. This is a pivotal role within our safeguarding structure, and you will be responsible for working with students, parents/carers, College staff and external agencies in order to ensure maximum attendance and punctuality of all students who attend Pendle Vale.
This includes ensuring that all first day responses are undertaken for each student. You will be required to undertake home visits to students and their families where attendance is problematic or of concern.
It is essential that you have at least an appropriate NVQ Level 3 including GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade C or above. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of working in a secondary school and working with young people and their families.
You must be an excellent communicator and have the ability to work under pressure. Attention to detail and the ability to prepare and gather data is also essential. You will need to have a good working knowledge of Management Information Systems and other associated IT systems such as Microsoft Office 365 - email, word, and excel.
