Health & Safety Manager
Commutable from Taunton, Yeovil, Weston-Super-Mare, Bridgwater, Tiverton, Glastonbury, Wells

Our client is a leading manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to growth and a 20% profit increase this year alone they are looking for a new Health & Safety Manager.

Role & Responsibilities:

*Manage all health & safety legislations & laws in the manufacturing workplace
*Responsible for health & safety aspects across all of the production/assembly facility
*Prevent accidents, injuries and work-related illness
*Working day to day between the office and in the workshop monitoring daily safety
*Will be expected to travel up to sister site in Northamptonshire 1-2 times a month to carry out training
*Implement health & safety procedures and ensure they comply with law
*Conduct risk assessments, safety compliance assessments & reports
*Train all employees on health & safety procedures and any new ones that come in
*Make all employees aware of the benefits of PPE and adhere to the correct usage
*Develop a correct procedure for reporting accidents
*Manage emergency procedures and first aid procedures

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

*Ideally be an experienced Health & Safety Manager - understand H&S policies & standards
*Must be happy working in a small manufacturing/assembly environment
*Role could suit a production manager, that currently does health & safety management as part of their role, but wants to follow the route of health & safety permanently
*Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessments
*Be an open character, understand that there are flaws and not everything will be perfect all the time
*Strong communicator - able to communicate to all levels, carry out training & presentations
*Health & Safety trained - NEBOSH
*Ideally have come from a workshop / production / engineering background
*Happy to travel up to sister site in Northamptonshire 1-2 times per month to carry out training
*Must be experienced in keeping records up-to-date records and reporting
*Knowledge of first aid, fire alarm procedures, PPE requirements & legislation

Shifts & Benefits Package:

*Salary:- £35,000
*Benefits:- Private Pension, Life Assurance, 21 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Mileage Paid
