Salary: Inner London (competitive)

Location: London Borough of Newham

Contract: Permanent

Ages Taught: 11 - 16

Starting: September

The Role:

  • Art NQT - Newly Qualified Art Teacher
  • KS3 and KS4
  • To help students produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences
  • Work with students to become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques.
  • Evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design
  • To cover great artists, craft-makers and designers, and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms.
  • Working on projects to determine how art and design reflect our nation, shape our history and contribute to our culture.


Key Requirements:

  • Trainee Teacher - PGCE, SCITT, Harris / Ark Training
  • A genuine passion for Art and Design with good subject knowledge
  • Ability to engage and develop student's understanding of different mediums and art-work
  • To be able to work with students with a varied skill-set to fulfil their full potential
  • A desire to progress your teaching career in Art and Design
