A permanent qualified Science Teacher required for KS3 and KS4 pupils across all abilities teaching Science.

Full-time permanent Food Science Teacher position with a salary ranging from £26,000 to £41,604 per annum.

We are searching for an enthusiastic candidate to teach KS3 and KS4 Food and Science, all specialisms welcome.

To be considered for the role as a Science Teacher, you will be/will have:
  • A qualified teacher (QTS status)
  • A good honours degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline;
  • Experience of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences up to KS4 - KS5 Desirable
  • A sincere desire to see all pupils improve and strategies to ensure positive attainment;
  • Effective class management with pupils at all levels;
  • Tenacious attitude with a devotion to self-improvement.

To carry out the general duties of a qualified teacher:

Participate fully in whole school, year group, and lesson planning.

Co-ordinate / act as a subject specialist in the designated curriculum area including monitoring and assessment.

Monitor and assess pupil results and progress, ensuring that appropriate records have been kept in line with school policy.

As a Science Teacher working in the school, you will be expected to:

Support the school's pastoral system within the year group, class and with individual

pupils.

Effectively utilise support staff and resources within the class.

Play a full part in the life of the school community, supporting the ethos of the school

and encouraging staff, pupils and parents to do likewise.

Comply with school policies and procedures in areas such as assessment, marking,

behaviour management, communication with parents, teaching English as an additional language, cover-, induction-, short- and long-term planning, staff meetings and parental events.

Maintain good behaviour within the classroom and elsewhere in the school.
