Your Responsibilities
You will report to the Technical Services Manager and your responsibilities will include:
  • Design and deploy complex infrastructure, using manual and automated deployment tools
  • Configure high availability including Clustering, Microservices and Load Balancing
  • Install and upgrade Neon in high-availability environments (cloud, VMware Fault Tolerance, SQL clustering, Service Fabric etc)
  • Plan, script and implement business critical Neon upgrades, minimising business impact
  • Act as technical lead on a project
  • Supervise and support system implementations and go lives
  • Maintain internal development and QA environments
  • Produce high-quality system and implementation documentation
  • Provide second-line support for technical incidents and generally assist and advise the helpdesk team
  • Remain customer focused to ensure that we always deliver an outstanding level of service
Your Experience and Skills
As we expand our Technical Services department, we are open to a variety of skillsets and candidate profiles to support our varied product range. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to meet most or all the following criteria:
  • Very good PowerShell and general scripting skills
  • Microsoft Azure and cloud computing knowledge
  • Microservice Orchestration Knowledge would be an advantage
  • Understanding of certificates, deployment and renewals
  • Excellent planning skills, including the ability to manage your own workload and communicate effectively with our team
  • Very good communication skills, including the ability to lead a team on site, communicate with our customers' technical and senior management and deliver technical training and overviews to customer and internal audiences
  • Quick learner. We would like to get you at the coal face as quickly as possible so you will need to be a self-starter and working with our training team, take responsibility for your own learning
  • In depth knowledge of network communications
  • Basic Linux
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Service Fabric would be a distinct advantage
General Expectations
Our basic expectations within you to perform this role are that:
  • You are prepared to travel when required subject to proper planning and personal circumstances
  • You understand that we don't work in a 9-5 environment due to our international client base
