A prestigious, high-growth Luxury Goods group is seeking an accomplished Credit Controller to join its UK HQ based in Cheshunt.

  • Converting the customers sales order into invoices and raising customers credit notes.
  • Allocation of customers payments on to a high level of accuracy, verifying the customers balance and customers account reconciliations.
  • Ensuring due diligence are completed on customer accounts to ensure risk is reduced.
  • Timely aged debt reviews and producing aged debt report.
  • Chasing payments on a ledger of some 200 customers (including major retailers)
  • Sending the customers statement via email, letters etc.
  • Contacting customers via the telephone, email and letter, chase outstanding debts.
  • Checking the credit score of customers before giving credit limit.
  • Resolving the issues raised by customers and colleagues efficiently and effectively.
  • Investigate and respond to any customer queries and enquiries.
  • Identify and escalate high risk accounts

To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:

  • Previous collections experience gained within a Retail, Wholesale, FMCG or related business
  • Experience of dealing with a major retail customer (eg. Boots, Superdrug, Amazon, etc) hugely desirable!
  • A strong troubleshooter - able to work with aging, clunky systems (whilst new systems are being implemented)
  • Confident, professional, articulate - with impeccable comms
  • Friendly, sociable and engaging - with a gsoh!
