Our client based in Callington are currently recruiting for an Accounts Administrator to join their team.

Callington
Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00 with a 1 hour break per day

We are a freight forwarding company looking to recruit a versatile accounts administrator for the purchase ledger, invoicing, and credit control.

Responsibilities:

The role includes maintaining the purchase ledger primarily through entry of purchase invoices, reconciliation of supplier statements and the processing of payment runs.

It involves liaising with colleagues and suppliers via phone and email to resolve queries quickly and efficiently.

Another key element of the role is to raise invoices to our customers and enter all job costings on to our system.

Job files need to be checked to ensure the details held on our system correspond to the official documents received and our client quotations.

The position includes liaising with clients to maintain the sales ledger by resolving invoice queries quickly and ensuring payment is received within agreed terms.

The candidate will need to be a confident communicator who can chase overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter, whilst liaising with management to keep them informed of any payment issues.

The successful candidate will allocate payments as they arrive and ensure the correct credit insurance cover is obtained on all clients.

Other responsibilities include the updating and maintenance of spreadsheets and databases as well as other administrative tasks such as:

Purchasing foreign currency and processing Euro and US Dollar supplier payments

Reconciling 4 bank accounts including Euro and Us Dollar

Reconciling Debtors ledger monthly

Preparing and processing journal entries for monthly depreciation, accruals and prepayments

Processing VAT returns as well as completing quarterly EC sales list and any other requirements for HMRC

Amend job file costings as requested by management

Requirements:

Accounts background

Good level of skill and experience in Microsoft applications including Outlook and Excel

Experienced and accurate in volume data entry

Good communication skills

Proficient at wording emails in a professional manner and insuring that all client requests are fulfilled and answered in a timely manner

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work well as a member of a team and to prioritise the work load in order to meet deadlines

Quick learner who will easily adapt to the in-house software package

Candidate must be able to drive to work

Benefits:

From £22,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a gym membership, company bonus, and 33 days annual leave.
