Logistics and Carrier Manager Job in Christchurch

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a market leading tech focused logistics company. As well as having a number of own brands they also support their Clients by opening up new routes to market using global marketplaces including Amazon, eBay, Boll, Zalando and many more. Over the last 15 years the Company has developed its own software which runs its global operation with warehouse in the UK, DE, USA and more planned. Their software includes a marketplace module which optimises the key process for managing listings, content, orders and much more cross platform with further ambitious plans for expansion. With a high level of autonomy, the successful Logistics and Carrier Manager will take full ownership and deliver the end-to-end outbound transportation supply chain strategy, across a multi-brand, multi-channel business.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationships with global carriers, delivery management platforms and integrations providers
  • Ensuring the supply, quality, and deliveries are in line with SLA
  • Provide support to the network of global fulfilment centres, ensuring transportation capacity needs are secured, as well as lead contract management, negotiation, compliance and service agreements for existing and new contacts
  • Identifying and overseeing the onboarding of new carriers into the network.
  • Provide strategic direction globally offering agile, responsive, open-minded approach to the development of eCommerce fulfilment in the European arena
  • Establish reporting across the entire carrier base, as well as clear communication of performance and building on KPI's and SLA's
  • Analyse patterns and trends in data to better understand customers
  • Support projects to enter new markets and product expansions
  • Liaise with relevant departments to manage customer expectations and service of existing and new carriers

Skills and Experience Required:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A problem solver with the ability to self manage
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office 365 and Databases
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise own workload
  • Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrable understanding of margins

Salary and Benefits:
  • A salary of circa £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
