A highly regarded Asset Management firm that manage multi asset portfolios with a long-term investment view.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and close-knit team on a 12-month-FTC who have a growing AUM.
This established Asset Management firm are looking for a Fund Management Operations professional. The Fund Management Operations role will provide Front Office Support (and in particular pre trade support) to a team of Portfolio Managers (predominantly Equity) - advising them on relevant guidelines, cash flow, compliance and actioning the Portfolio Managers instructions into live orders.
The Fund Management Operations role will provide Front Office Support ensuring that the instructions given by the Portfolio Managers are accurately modelled into live orders and comply with compliance and portfolio guidelines, also providing up to date and accurate information with respect to the Asset Management client portfolios as and when requested.
The Fund Management Operations role will action the Portfolio Managers instructions into live orders (order modelling) and placing such trades on the Traders' blotter.
Ensuring that Portfolio Management orders undergo pre-trade integrity checks (pre-trade compliance checking) and that instructions are accurately recorded and instructed with clear and adequate rationales prior to modelling.
Guarantee that the orders are accurately reflected in the Portfolio Management order management system (LongView/Charles River).
Notify the Compliance and Legal teams of guideline breaches (or modelling errors) when they occur within the Portfolio Management process.
The Fund Management Operations role will provide cover if and when required to the Front Office team's other functions (including Commission Sharing Agreements, broker voting etc.) as well as ad hoc cover to the Treasury function.
Maintaining up to date regulatory and risk management awareness, particularly with respect to portfolio guidelines breaches and the risk of erroneous trades and potential client losses incurred because of incorrect modelling of instructions.
At least 5-10 years' industry experience with at least 3 years in a similar Fund Management Operations / Front Office Support role.
Previous experience in pre trade support role is essential, as well as a knowledge of Equity portfolios.
Ability to work under pressure and comfortable working dealing with Fund Managers / Portfolio Managers
Demonstrable market and trading knowledge.
Experience working with order management systems (preferably LongView Trading System (LVTS) or Charles River) is advantageous.
Sound regulatory awareness and pre trade compliance experience is preferable.
Self-motivated and pro-active team player.
