cinch is transforming the UK's car buying experience. We're taking one of the last industries to go digital and disrupting it with trailblazing tech and beautifully simple customer experiences. Now as we accelerate from start-up to scale-up, we're hiring talented, ambitious and passionate people to join us and drive our success.
Why join cinch? We're dedicated to building and being a great technology business. Together, we're creating a supportive, non-bureaucratic culture that is every bit as faff-free as our online customer experience, where communication is open, decisions are made quickly and everybody has the freedom to bring in new ideas. Of course, working together doesn't mean we're in the same room every day. Our teams spend around 60% of their time working remotely - and that's not going to change.
We believe that our site should go beyond being easy to use. It should go beyond being user-friendly. It should be a car-buying experience that our customers love. As a Front End Engineer, you will work with your squad to make our online experience the very best it can be. We firmly believe that it takes more than one skill set. In a highly collaborative environment, you will combine your skills, ideas and enthusiasm with like-minded people in a wide range of roles. Researchers, engineers, designers, strategists, working together to push the boundaries, question the status quo and continuously improve every aspect of our product.
You're going to need a really deep understanding of web applications and their surrounding stacks, with experience in building and supporting cloud-hosted React/Redux UIs with TypeScript. You'll also need the enthusiasm and curiosity to go beyond the front end and understand the other factors that influence a great online experience. A thorough knowledge of mobile-first design is vital, backed by an awareness of accessibility and how it impacts UI. You must appreciate the importance of driving quality code into test automation, utilising libraries such as Cypress, React Testing Library and Percy. Experience with Gatsby, GraphQL, CSS Modules or StoryBook is definitely useful.
Above all, we are looking for people who care about the product life cycle and the lifetime value of the customer. You want to grow within your career in an organisation where you can have an immediate, meaningful impact.
If you're open to new ideas, you're ready to collaborate, you're ready to embrace new technologies - together, we'll do great things. Apply now.
