Several Developers experienced in the development of applications using C# .NET and Oracle PL/SQL are required by a leading UK Microsoft Gold Partner Consultancy based in West Sussex, near Gatwick.

Location: Home-based and East Grinstead, West Sussex (applicants will not be acepted from outside of the UK)

Type: Contract

Rate: Dependent on Experience

We are looking for a hands-on developer with solid experience developing applications using C# and .NET, either Web Apps developed in .NET Web API and MVC or desktop applications developed with .NET WinForms, together with Oracle database servers and PL/SQL. If it is of interest then there will be an opportunity for the successful candidate to work on the future transitioning of these .NET applications to Azure Cloud-based Single Page Web Applications, Micro Services, Containers, Angular and Web API. You should have 7+ years of software development experience and should be able to use your knowledge and expertise to provide solutions to complex business problems.

Essential Skills:
  • Highly proficient in core Microsoft technologies C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, or .NET WinForms.
  • Highly proficient in accessing Oracle databases from .NET systems and in developing PL/SQL.
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing experience.
  • Understanding of Lean/Agile methodologies.


Optional Skills:
  • Experience in single-page application design using Angular in conjunction with .NET Web API.
  • Understanding of implementing and managing automated testing.
  • Good understanding of the Azure infrastructure and key services such as App Services, SQL Azure, Azure AD, Containerised applications, and the Azure Kubernetes Service.
