Job Details

Pertemps are currently working with a leading retail company based in Glasgow who are looking to add to the finance team with a Finance Officer. They are ideally looking to speak to candidates who have at least 1 years experience working in a busy finance office and looking to progress. Salary up to £22k depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities;



• Updating bank transactions both for cashflow and Xero accounting

• Running store revenue and cash reporting

• Reconciliation of purchase ledger, spend back to goods receipt and purchase order

• Monitoring and control of bank transactions

• Extracting online revenue reports from multiple feeds to populate Excel

• Reconciliation of revenue streams between customer orders and bank payments

• Stock reporting and control

• Weekly purchase order monitoring

• Responsible for both online and store revenue streams

• Balance sheet account reconciliations

• Maintenance of employee templates for overtime and holidays

• Analysis of spend activity highlighting split of business/personal spend for MT, KPI control for advertising, delivery cost, rent, rates and other key spend items

• Liaising with suppliers on account queries and chasing credit notes, handling goods returned and ensuring money due is returned

• Identify and highlight control weaknesses or opportunities to HoF



Desirable Skills/Experience:



• Experience working in small to medium sized businesses at Analyst or administrator level

• Experience in processing both sales and purchase invoice transaction data

• Interpreting and summarising data for reporting

• Identifying missing data or where information from different sources does not match

• Confident and clear communicator

• Experience working in periods of change and have good financial acumen

• Knowledge of Xero accounting would be beneficial

• Knowledge and proficient use of Excel is mandatory

• Effective time management and prioritisation skills

• Decision making in line with the goals of the department and business

• Multitasking whilst ensuring key deadlines and priorities are met

• Problem solving for both accounts and other departments to streamline processes
