Wilkinson Associates is partnering with a manufacturing company based in Dunfermline to help source a Senior Finance Manager in Operations.

The role is responsible for leading on manufacturing planning monitoring of supply chain practices. Additionally, you will oversee critical areas of the Income Statement and oversee key risks within Inventory Manufacturing, communicating them to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive cost down focus from finance perspective on product to achieve business objectives
  • Leads on basis of Inventory Provision the timely management of exposures
  • Development of finance function embedded with Operations area
  • Partner with manufacturing operations, engineering and supply chain to support business decision making
  • Establish/maintain financial reporting and metrics for manufacturing
  • Support new products transition from development into production
  • Financial costing implication of production allocation - new build and repair product lines
  • Lead on Make vs. Buy decisions
  • Budget preparation for manufacturing facilities, engineering supply chain teams
  • Monthly product cost reporting
  • Lead on cost reduction and reliability projects for existing products
  • Establish regular management accounts packs
  • Responsible for two direct reports

Required Skills Attributes:
  • Professional Qualification in Accountancy CIMA, ACCA, CA
  • Experience of manufacturing business
  • Experience with working in a changing environment
  • Experience with working with non-Finance stakeholders
  • Awareness of working in a regulated manufacturing / healthcare environment
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong team player with flexible attitude to work priorities
  • Strong systems skills to include advanced Excel and ideally previous experience using a consolidation tool
  • Strong proactive communicator with the ability to influence others
