*About the role:*
We're looking for a talented Engineer who will be working with our teams by contributing to the design, development, delivery and support of business solutions adhering to Iress' software development life cycle and development process. We're looking for someone who prides themselves on providing excellent service to their clients, striving to deliver the best results possible.
What our team needs are talented people who really understand code and the project life cycle of development and into production. You will be expected to have experience of developing within an object-oriented development and service-oriented architecture environments. Ability to develop within an agile project framework. Insight on source control, release and task management. Exposure to unit testing and general test automation and the ability to confidently operate within financial services solutions such as financial markets and trading.
They say variety is the spice of life - well you'll be building cloud infrastructure, developing data services and capabilities, and shipping software to our clients and end-users. You'll also be providing client support where necessary, as well as promoting the adoption and re-use of the Iress technology platform.
The team you'll be working in are focused on building knowledge of the latest technologies and processes as well as of the clients 'business in relation to Iress products. You will be expected to contribute to the design and development of software components within a defined quality standard as well as to resolve issues, defects and queries raised at any phase of development or production.
You'll need to be a good communicator and someone who is driven by client and user feedback, report progress regularly, escalating matters as appropriate consistently striving for ways to improve and automate processes.
