Seclea is building an exciting new SaaS platform that will enable organisations developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications to provide transparency, explainability, accountability and trust. Driving a positive change for our clients as well as building public trust in AI.

We are looking for a talented Backend Developer to join the team to add development efforts. This role will give you an opportunity to build an exciting SaaS platform with a wide variety of technical challenges that come with that.

About the Role

You will:
  • Work in collaboration with the Technical Lead and the wider team to develop our exciting new SaaS Platform in AI domain
  • Research and learn new technologies and utilize them to build a proof of concepts and minimum viable products, as well as work in a cross-functional team to build large scale products
  • B responsible for creating and maintaining the overall structure and layout of a software system's components and their interfaces within and outside of the system
  • Ensure that the Architectural attributes - Performance, Scalability, Modularity, Reliability, Maintainability, Reusability, Internationalization, and Accessibility - are met
  • Ensure technical cohesion and help design the technical contract in interfaces and other abstract objects and data entities
  • Participate in design/code reviews and provide feedback to improve the architecture of the system
  • Conduct technical and feature risk assessments and communicate to the team
  • Participate in recruiting the best technical talent for the team
  • Collaborate with the CTO and CPO to identify the business "technical needs" from specifications and requirements
  • Drive change within the team to continually improve and enhance our internal processes and tech stack
  • Mentor and guide engineers and developers within the company
  • Participate in recruiting the best technical talent for the team

This is a full-time position, fully remote to begin with, later transitioning to at least part time office based.

About You

This role will provide varied problem solving using a variety of different technologies, as such you need to be flexible and adaptable, but with that you will have the opportunity to solve different interesting problems with different tools. You need to be comfortable with DevOps processes for Continuous Integration and Deployment as we want you to take a leading role in developing and improving these.

We would like you to have a strong STEM background with a Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Maths or similar. If you have a strong work experience background or other evidence that would also be considered.

You will have:
  • Excellent programming and problem-solving skills with knowledge of design patterns in Python
  • Experience in working with DevOps processes and tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Swarm, Nomad.
  • Experience working with cloud services and cloud architectures such as AWS products, Digital Ocean etc.
  • Experience working with Docker and containerisation.
  • Fluency with Git for version control
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of code quality and doing things right
  • An appetite for learning and trying new technologies
