Five - "Driving Autonomy" Five is a European leader in the field of automated driving systems. Our vision is a world where safe, green and accessible autonomous transportation advances the world in which we live!

We're creating a platform for autonomous vehicle development and safety assurance. Our platform will empower the industry to build automated driving systems that are safer, smarter, faster and scalable. We're doing this by applying insights learned from solving some of the most challenging problems in this space.

We're engineers, scientists, developers, and designers. We're problem-solvers, dreamers, pioneers, innovators, creatives and pragmatists. We're new hands and accomplished pros. We're hard-working people, solving far-reaching challenges.

About The TeamAt Five, our Product Managers are responsible for discovering user stories, validating them, evaluating the opportunity and ultimately determining what gets built and delivered to customers. Our Product Experts are a key resource in the Product team helping PMs understand the challenges facing safe autonomous vehicles and design our state of the art platform

What You Will DoAs a Senior Product Expert, you will be a Five resident evangelist, internally and externally, for the future application of verification and validation techniques in the development of self-driving systems.

Facing internally, you will be consulting with and advising Five product teams to draw their attention to and help them devise the latest techniques for verification within their products and to understand the best practice and standards activities applicable to their products. Based on your wealth of experience in ADAS/AD verification and validation, you will generate, using the Five platform, compelling content and narratives that elicit the Value Propositions and differentiate our platform from competition and communicate this externally.

Facing externally, you will support the PMs and Business Development by actively promoting those examples, our platform and our thought leadership through community engagement at relevant technical events, through blogs, etc.

About YouRequirements
  • A wealth of industry experience as a verification or validation engineer, simulation engineer, or a similar role ideally with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar.
  • Fluent in ADAS development and V&V in a state-of-the-art program in the automotive industry, understanding both the necessities provided by incumbents and the deficiencies that are our opportunity
  • Deep understanding of the simulation-based testing market and challenges associated with this approach to verification
  • Any experience driving open standards in the ADS space would be useful, but not required
  • Any experience in software development would be useful, but not required.

BenefitsYou will be joining a European leader in the autonomous vehicle market where you can have a real impact in a smart, low-ego multi-cultural team. We're secure and growing, having raised $76m in grant and equity funding to date. We provide an environment where you can develop your skills and deliver meaningful work that matters, whilst working closely with Five's founding team who have previously built and run successful tech companies through to exit. You'll be rewarded with a competitive salary and financial package, pension, private medical care and share option schemes.

Five is committed to Equal Employment Opportunity through attracting and retaining a complementary team of employees and building an inclusive environment for all.
