Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Remuneration Accountant to be based within the London office.

Main responsibilities within the Remuneration Accountant position include:
  • Primary responsibility is to act as owner and single point of Finance contact for all variable remuneration matters (not including payroll processing and related queries)
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining efficient and accurate reporting of compensation related financial information
  • First and main point of contact for the front office with regard to variable remuneration
  • Prepare and review bonus calculations accurately reflecting complex contractual terms and definitions
  • Maintain and enhance the bonus calculation files to improve automation and reliability
  • Streamline processes with an aim to post accruals earlier in the month end
  • Liaise with HR, Payroll, Legal and Business heads with regards to variable compensation
  • Be primary contact for all variable remuneration related queries
  • Responsible for calculation of contractual financial clauses such as performance hurdles
  • Prepare detailed performance model for brokers under review
  • Provide financial due diligence and challenge assumptions used in the new hire process, modelling compensation impact to the p&l and balance sheet

Secondary responsibility - Finance Planning and Analytics

As a member of the FP&A team, assist in budgeting, modelling and analysis as directed by the Head of FP&A

Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:
  • Previous experience within a similar role advantageous
  • Technical capability to interpret, understand and model complex or unusual contractual clauses
  • Experience in reviewing and preparing bonus calculations
  • Experience of liaising with all levels of the business
  • Strong experience with Excel
  • High attention to detail
