Title: Senior Nurse, Rapid Response
Salary: £31,365 - £33,955 per annum pro rata
Hours/Contract: Part-time - 91 hours per month
Contract Type: Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Nurse to join our Rapid Response service in Fife.
The Marie Curie Nursing Service is a community based end of life care service whose aim is to support patients and their carers in their preferred place of care. This will usually be the patients' own home. This role involves coordinating care for patients; linking and collaborating with other health and social care providers in primary, secondary, independent and voluntary care, to promote communication and seamless care and support for patients and their carers.
As a Senior Nurse, you will assess the care needs of end of life patients who wish to be cared for in their own home and facilitate timely discharges from the hospital. You will work as part of a larger team of Senior Nurses, Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.
The Senior Nurse will work alongside the Clinical Nurse Manager and have delegated line management responsibility for a designated group of staff in a smaller and locally defined team.
The proportion of time between the managerial and clinical case coordination will vary, in order to provide the flexibility to meet the ever changing needs.
The core working hours for this post will be 17:00 - 00:00.
