Clinical Lead for First Contact Practitioner - FCP

We are seeking an enthusiastic and effective advanced practice Physiotherapist to provide clinical leadership and develop our First Contact Practitioner service in Dumfries and Galloway.

Developing services and enabling physiotherapists to have an impact on people from the point of first presentation in Primary Care is exciting and rewarding. This is an excellent opportunity to build, develop and lead an advanced physiotherapy team contributing to our Primary Care Team and providing valuable holistic care for people.

As FCP clinical lead your role will combine providing clinical sessions within GP practices alongside clinical leadership responsibilities for the FCP team (current plan in place for 8 WTE covering most GP practices within Dumfries & Galloway).

This post would suit an experienced, proactive and motivated advanced practice Physiotherapist with:
  • skills and knowledge of clinical and team leadership
  • management of MSK conditions and MSK services in primary care
  • quality improvement and collaborative team working across primary and secondary care

With highly specialist clinical skills in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions, you will have appropriate postgraduate training/ experience to Masters Level relevant to MSK and leadership, and an advanced knowledge of managing complex MSK and chronic pain conditions.

Hours: Full time or part time: 30 to 37.5 per week, job share and part time also considered

Successful postholder may be based throughout Dumfries & Galloway in GP practices
