An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Grampian for an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage the implementation of HEPMA throughout NHS Grampian.
The NHS in the North of Scotland (NHS Grampian, NHS Highland, NHS Orkney, NHS Shetland,
NHS Tayside and NHS Western Isles) has established a Programme Board to oversee the implementation of a clinical system known as HEPMA (Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration).
The Senior Project Manager to work with the North of Scotland Regional team to manage the local implementation of HEPMA throughout NHS Grampian. The role will also be required to liaise and co-ordinate eHealth requirements with NHS Orkney and NHS Shetland as well as developing strong working relationships with the Pharmacy department, and the regional and other North of Scotland implementation teams
NHS Grampian is committed to the implementation of in-patient electronic record keeping in order to provide a safer and more effective service for patients admitted to their hospitals. This will result in better health care by providing accurate up to date patient information at the point of care, improved sharing of electronic documentation with patients and clinicians and it enables quicker access to patient information. There are multiple strands that feed into this including HEPMA, which will digitise and ultimately provide a safer and more reliable method of prescribing throughout NHS Grampian.
This is a challenging and exciting opportunity. The successful candidate will have a strong background managing a large complex project, using project management methodology and demonstrate the ability to manage stakeholders and staff through large scale business change.
This is a temporary (11 month) position based within the eHealth department in Aberdeen. There may be a requirement to travel both within and outwith Grampian.
