Job Details

We are currently a team of 10 people and are looking to hire two or three interns to join us this summer. Following successful completion of the internship, it is our intention to offer one or more of the interns a full-time role within the business and therefore please only apply if you are interested in starting full time employment.

Tasks & responsibilities:

The candidates will assist other members of the team. They will get exposure across a range of infrastructure sub sectors (Real Estate, Renewables, Core and Social Infrastructure, Telecoms, Digital & Data and Fin Tech and can expect to be asked to perform the following tasks:
  • Research and analyse various markets, funds and companies within the infrastructure sector
  • Preparation of research, marketing and discussion materials for client meetings
  • Drafting of investor presentations and associated materials, including review and summary of project contract documents
  • Attending client and investor meetings and taking an active role in any required follow-up
  • Financial modelling and calculations to analyse (or allow others to analyse) a business or a lending or investment proposal
  • Any other work to support the team as required

Required skill set

The below skillset and character traits described below are a pre-requisite for any candidate.
  • Recent Graduate from the following universities: Oxford, Cambridge, Trinity, Durham, Imperial, UCL, LSE, Edinburgh, Bristol or Exeter
  • Only graduates in economics, accounting, finance, engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry or related degrees should apply
  • Basic understanding of financial statements including P&L, cashflow and balance sheet (sufficient to be able to understand a company's funding structure)
  • Proficient across the board with Microsoft office suite in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Full working rights for the UK to be considered for this role (no sponsorship available)

What we offer

£2,500 (gross) per month for the internship period.

Expected start date: Summer 2021

The candidate should see the internship as a four-month process where both sides are getting to know and work with each other to see if there is a suitable fit. We are looking to offer permanent positions and a commensurate salary to those candidates that we think have the requisite skills and will fit well into the business.
