Location: Sheffield

Contract: 12 months fixed term contract (maternity cover)

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week/flexible days and/or hours (Mon-Fri)

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum maximum depending on experience

The Finance Business Partner - Senior Manager will provide challenge and support to the business in order to achieve the British Business Bank's strategic plan. You will act as a key interface between Finance and the product teams by developing and maintaining accurate knowledge and understanding of the investment portfolios contained within the programmes. The role involves building processes, designing management information (MI) and investigating and documenting how the Bank's products impact its financial statements. It is a role requiring an individual to apply a fundamental understanding of finance to a diverse range of financial products, which receive relatively complex accounting treatments. The role is not routine, and it is essential that the role holder be a proactive problem-solver who can work with minimal support.

Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will oversee the finance onboarding of new delivery partners to ensure that adequate data provision is in place and operational records are kept. You will analyse variances and production and help to monitor our portfolio of delivery partners. It will be important for you to collaborate with the product teams to agree forecasts and modelling assumptions and translate our strategic plan into phased budgets and performance targets for monthly tracking.

It is essential that you have experience of budgeting and performance management and you will be a fully qualified chartered accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA). It is desirable that you have experience of analysing products within a financial services environment with knowledge of building new capabilities and board reporting.

We support flexible working and whilst this position will report to our Sheffield office when restrictions are lifted, we would also welcome applications from those candidates who may require/prefer to continue with an element of home working.
