Job Title: Medical Writer
Location: Remote & London
Duration: 6 month FTC
Salary: £36,000-45,000 PA
My client is a top rated medical communications agency who are global leaders in advertising, HEOR, learning & development, market access, medical communications, patient engagement, public relations, publications and digital services. They are looking for a Principle Writer to join their ever growing Medical Communications team.
Requirements of the role:
You must have a strong scientific background and can communicate complex scientific ideas accurately, have a sound understanding of science and medicine, the healthcare environment and the Medical Education industry, Working knowledge of the publishing industry.
It is desired that you are a graduate in life sciences (ideally biomedical) and previous medical writing experience in a medical communications agency is also desired.
You will be required to:
Develop written materials (for subsequent review by Lead / Senior Medical Writer) in line with client requirements (internal/external), timelines, Communications editorial policy, ABPI Code of Practice and key product messages.
You maybe required to edit as well as write and ensure all written material is appropriately pitched, on brief and delivered on time. Your work must be
fully referenced and, where applicable, abides by the ABPI Code of Practice.
You will be required to attend conferences, advisory board meetings with Lead & Senior Medical Writers. You will be required to develop the first draft of reports for review.
You must develop an understanding of the various client brand and disease areas
and undertake research into therapy areas. You will also be required to
Liaise with authors/advisors (including attending face-to-face meetings), with the support of a Lead / Senior Medical Writers.
