As a Platform Engineer / DevOps at one of the country's best known online property rental sites you will join a small team to ensure the reliability and performance of the core platform encompassing everything from how code is built and tested; how, when and where it is deployed; and how it is monitored in production environments.
There's a variety of work to get involved with. You could be partnering on internal operations projects such as introducing new technologies to the stack or carrying out improvements or maintenance to the existing infrastructure e.g. migrating to Kubernetes from Docker Swarm; working with development teams on various tasks to enable continuous delivery such as building microservices and developing tooling to automate tedious tasks.
You'll be working in an upbeat supportive team environment with plenty of training and career development opportunities, many employees have been in the business for over ten years.
*You have a strong knowledge of Linux OS
*You love to automate and streamline processes and can script with shell, Groovy or Python
*You have a good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
*You have a "developer mindset", ideally able to code with Java (or other) and have a strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle
*You're collaborative with great communication skills and enthusiasm for technology
