Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a driven and hungry Accounts Assistant for a family-run business based in the Black Country on a permanent basis. Reporting in to the owners and working as part of a small and friendly finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the department with the preparation and analysis of management information.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Taking full ownership for the purchase ledger - matching, batching, coding and processing all incoming invoices onto Sage Line 50.
- Managing the cashbooks, reconciling the bank and allocating incoming cash
- Chasing outstanding debt where appropriate
- Submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Accruals & prepayments
- Bank reconciliations
We are seeking an AAT studier with 2+ years experience in an accounts department who is keen and eager to learn and grow with the company. Experience using Sage Line 50 and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and vlookups) are essential. This role offers clear progression routes to a bookkeeping/company accountant role.
The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm with half an hour lunch. The role will be remote working initially with a phased return to the office in Bilston planned over the coming months as restrictions ease.
