This organisation offer both scope and development for a Qualified Accountant to join a progressive Legal Practice as the Finance Director. Reporting into the members of the board, you will take full responsibility of the Financial management of the firm.

The Role of Finance Director

As Finance Director you will deliver the Finance strategy, forecasting and budgeting, play an integral part in building and leading an established team. This role will involve you building strong working relationships with partners, bankers, auditors, board members and heads of teams. You will be responsible for providing relevant financial information to support key individuals in making informed decisions which support improvement of the firm's financial disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts
  • Liaising with auditors, with regards to SAR audit, year end accounts preparation and completion of AGM reporting.
  • Support and help to encourage an established finance team, guiding on change to processes, performance improvements and career development
  • Completion of annual budget cycle and annual accounts preparation
  • Overseeing the preparation and ongoing management of Budgets and Forecasts
  • Ensuring compliance with SAR and HMRC regulations, including responsibilities as the Firms Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration

  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Legal practice background
  • Proven financial budgeting and forecasting ability
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, to motivate and support a team
  • Ability to influence and challenge decisions and think strategically
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
  • LucaNet software experience desirable
