This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new, dynamic fundraising team to develop our corporate and philanthropy giving programme. In this role you will be responsible for working on the delivery of fundraising campaigns and initiatives in order to retain, recruit and grow income from corporate and individual supporters. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment, cultivation and stewardship of supporters valued at £250- £10,000 at Future Youth Zone including engagement with donors.

SALARY:
Between 30,000- 35,000

33 days including bank holidays

HOURS:

Full time, Fixed Term contract till July 2022, with the possibility of becoming permanent. 40 hours per week, including flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Head of Fundraising, Corporate and Community Fundraiser, Marketing and Communications Manager, OnSide's Head of Events and Community Fundraising, Donors, Youth Work Managers, Young People and Parents.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Corporate & Philanthropy Fundraising Manager will be responsible for acquiring, cultivating and raising gifts and pledges of between £250 and £10,000 and developing new relationships with corporate leaders and individual donors. You will engage senior leaders in business to support the work of Future Youth Zone and identify individuals that can give philanthropic gifts to strengthen our fundraising efforts with personal annual fundraising targets. This role provides an important link between our community fundraising programme and major donor gift work led by the Head of Fundraising.

We have been fortunate to receive funding until July 2022 to build stable and long-term income streams. There is the possibility of this role becoming permanent, dependant on performance and sustainability. The successful candidate will be working alongside a community fundraiser and major gifts fundraiser at a really exciting time as we start our third year of being open, as a charity.

CONTEXT OF THE POST:
Barking and Dagenham Youth Zone, named "Future" by local young people, was the first Youth Zone in London opened by the national charity, OnSide in Spring 2019. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a small but growing, impactful fundraising team and play a critical part in shaping opportunities for East London's young people and supporting a grass roots, committed, universal youth service.

Future, like all OnSide Youth Zones, exists to give young people, particularly those who are disadvantaged, somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. Outside of lockdown, each Youth Zone is open 7 days a week, at weekends and during school holidays, with the purpose of supporting young people to become happy, healthy and successful adults.

Future's state-of-the-art £6.15 million building on Parsloes Park provides young people with access to a range of activities, offering them the opportunity to try new things, meet new friends and gain support from friendly, warm and positive staff and volunteers. The facilities include a 3G pitch, a gym, sports hall, recreation area and dance, arts, music and media suites, with facilities equipped for a wide range of sporting, artistic, cultural and general recreational activities and targeted services.To access a Youth Zone, young people aged 8 - 19 (or 25 with additional needs) simply pay 50p per visit and £5 per year membership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - DETAILED

To manage and further develop Future Youth Zone's regular giving programme with the aim of improving both corporate and philanthropic giving and overall philanthropic revenue.

Lead on the development of a tiered corporate and philanthropic giving programme including analysis and development of giving clubs to improve supporter engagement and income delivery
Support the Head of Fundraising and the Community Fundraiser to increase income and develop other fundraising opportunities including trusts.
Work with colleagues to deliver marketing and promotional activities including The Big Give
Support the evolving development of Future Youth Zone's supporter journey, working closely with all associated teams.
Oversee administration for corporate and philanthropic giving programmes, including updating and maintaining databases, accurate reporting and budget management.

To manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding as appropriate with an agreed annual income target

Secure annual gifts £250 - £10,000 through mass fundraising techniques, face to face cultivation and solicitation of prospects
Lead on the delivery of the corporate & philanthropy programme, including recruitment, cultivation and stewardship activities
Identify, cultivate and solicit prospects and convert them to active donors including leading on a direct mail acquisition campaign

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience
A successful track record in donor development or corporate fundraising - Essential
Experience of planning and managing income generating campaigns - including monitoring budgets and expenditure. - Essential
Experience in managing and developing high value supporters - Essential
Experience of using a CRM system for logging and tracking fundraising activity. - Essential
Experience of trust writing - Desirable
Experience of working on a direct mail campaign - Desirable
A successful track record in membership scheme fundraising - Desirable

Qualifications
GCSE literacy & numeracy or equivalent - Essential
Degree level qualification - Desirable
