About the Role
This post can be based at any manned St John office.
As the Software Developer you will be a key part of the Digital Transformation Team who will design and implement the technical aspects of our digital solution roadmap. You will be responsible for contributing, alongside other developers, with software design and development in line with St John's technology principles including for overall usability and accessibility.
This is a hands-on coding role which requires experience with testing. You will join the scrum team, ensuring that standards, principles and policies are maintained and adhered to throughout the full development lifecycle

To be successful you must have experience working in software delivery in both Agile and Waterfall environments, an excellent depth of technical skills, able to hit the ground running when working with existing code bases or greenfield projects, and express design concepts effectively at all levels in the business and be Comfortable and confident working with both new and legacy technologies, with demonstrable experience in bridging the gap.
You should also have good knowledge of software engineering best practices and practical infrastructure implementations to appreciate delivery challenge.
