Wellbeing PractitionersThese roles sit within the Surrey Wellbeing Partnership which is a group of 12 charities working together to meet the emotional needs of children and young people in Surrey . There are several charities and third sector organisations responsible for the Wellbeing Practitioners in different parts of Surrey and all work together to improve the welfare of children and young people . The Surrey Wellbeing Partnership is part of a larger Alliance of organisations which includes Surrey and Borders NHS Trust and Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust .The Surrey Wellbeing Partnership aims to provide outstanding services for children and young people in need of emotional support and care . Barnardo's are now recruiting for Wellbeing Practitioners to work across Surrey specifically in the following areas: Waverley, Surrey Heath, Woking and Spelthorne .The roles provides early support to children and young people across Surrey who are experiencing poor wellbeing . This may present itself in many different ways such as feeling lonely, isolated , unhappy, or anxious, having low mood or experiencing stress and can come from multiple causes. We are seeking people with the following attributes:* a strong sense of empathy , care and compassion ,* willing to listen to the child or young person and meet with them on their terms, holding them at the centre of all your decision making.* a trauma informed approach and an understanding that presenting behaviour is not the full story.* the ability to develop positive relationships with children and young people both face to face and on line is essential.You will hold a caseload of children and young people , have a good understanding of the local area, an ability to work in partnership with other professionals to meet the emotional needs of children and young people . The service is delivered in the community and there will be a need to be able to travel to meet children and young people where they feel safe to meet with you.When completing your application please refer to your skills knowledge and experience in relation to the Person Specification , Job Description and Additional Information document (if applicable) .
