We are looking for a Registered Manager to lead and support a residential staff team, taking overall responsibility for the day - to - day management of a 4/5 bed residential home for young people with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. The most challenging aspects of this role will be ensuring the effective management of a residential team working in an acute environment where resilience, self-awareness, and the ability to maintain team wellbeing is essential.

Since 2012, the client has been offering specialist mental health packages to young people aged 16-25 in residential care settings. Their innovative and evidence-based model of care aims to support young people presenting with high levels of complexity and risk in the least restrictive setting. Many of the young people they work with transition to them from inpatient settings and may have experienced numerous previous admissions and/or placement breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager:

To monitor and maintain the effective running of the home ensuring all legislations and regulations concerning the Health and Social Care Act, environmental health, infection control, building control, planning, fire checks and Health & Safety are met and all risk assessments are regularly carried out to meet the high standard expected in our Residential services.

To work collaboratively with the Clinical Team ensuring effective and robust relationships are built and maintained

To take a lead role with regards to the Safeguarding of the service. To ensure that the safeguarding databases and records are maintained accurately and as per company policy.

To oversee and empower the staff to effectively support the Young people, ensuring their physical, social, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs are met.

To empower the staff team to manage incidents effectively and safely, offering guidance and debriefs post incident.

Registered Manager Requirements:

Experience in working within a residential home.

2 years recent experience working as a Residential/Registered Manager or equivalent role.

Experience of managing a team within a residential home

Level 5 qualification in management or health and social care or willingness to work towards Level 5 in Leadership in health and social care.

Must hold the Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 qualification or equivalent

Can demonstrate a commitment towards continued professional development
