This two-form entry 'OUTSTANDING' Primary academy in the borough of Wandsworth have a small proportion of students with SEND including Autism, SEMH, Behaviour difficulties, Cognitive Learning and Speech and Language Needs that require 1:1 support, as per their individualised EHCP plans.

This engaging school is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and energetic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long term, full-time basis, commencing September 2021. The role will involve working 1:1 with a student in Year 1, both in and outside the classroom environment, who is a kind, gentle child with Autism and Speech and Language Needs.
You will ideally have proven experience working with students with SEND and behaviour needs as you will be joining an already established and successful SEND team and will quickly become an established member of the school, however this is not essential if you have relevant degree qualifications and passion for working as an SEND Teaching Assistant. The role will involve working specifically on supporting this lovely, patient child develop their social skills and learning capabilities.
You will be passionate and engaging, with knowledge and understanding of the empathy and responsibility required to successfully support SEND children. Alongside this you will be supported by an encouraging and empathetic Year 1 Class Teacher, SENDCO and Speech and Language Therapist who offer training and guidance where needed.
This is a full-time role Monday - Friday, however the school are also open to Part Time, from 25 hours per week if this suits you. The school are currently shortlisting and will be conducting interviews for this role immediately after the half term break.The Opportunity with us at WhoFoundWho:
