Are you a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, or an experienced Band 5 ready for your first Band 6 role in a dynamic CYP team? This is an exciting opportunity to develop your existing knowledge and skills in relation to a universal, targeted and specialist approach to speech, language, and communication therapy with children across a range of settings.
The South Ayrshire CYP SLT team are key partners in supporting Speech Language and Communication needs across the region. We work in three teams across Early Years, the 'Scottish Attainment Challenge', and in partnership with South Ayrshire Council to deliver an enhanced package of support for all school age children.
You will be well supported by a number of speech therapists and assistant practitioners. All posts involve joint working and there are opportunities to take part in training with more experienced colleagues. You will receive B6 peer support and participate in a supervision programme.
We work closely with colleagues in health, education and social care to provide a genuinely child-centred service in a variety of locations, including remote working. You must be able to effectively manage their own time, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Experience person-centred working alongside children and their families is essential.
A Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent is essential.
