Semi Skilled Engineer


Circa £24,000 + Compulsory overtime every other Saturday at x1.5 (£32,000 OTE) + Holidays + Pension + Training and Development Opportunities + Progression Opportunities

Double Days - No Night Work Involved

Semi Skilled Engineer required for a well established manufacturer who are well renowned within their industry. They have multiple sites across the UK. This particular site has massive investment and expansion plans. They offer great training and development opportunities for the successful engineer and endless progression opportunities across the group.

The role would suit applicants with ANY mechanical or electrical competencies. Applicants who have experience working in manufacturing will have a considerable advantage. Ex-forces candidates are invited to apply.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work within a team of 10 engineers. You will be responsible for both reactive and pre-planned maintenance on a range of production and packaging machinery. Mechanically, you will work on chains, pulleys, gearboxes, shackles etc. Electrically, you will work on AC/DC Motors, inverters, contactors and fault find on PLCs. Upon employment you will be assessed on your skills and a training and development plan will be tailored to upskill you where necessary. Due to ongoing investment on site, you will have involvement in moving of machinery, machinery installation and continuous improvement activities.

The Role:

*Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance on Production and Packaging Machinery

*55% Reactive Maintenance

*45% PPM with plans to increase this due to a new Piranha CMMS system

*Project/Continuous Improvement work

*Double Days 05:30 to 13:30 and 13:30 to 21:30 rotating. No Night Work Involved
