A Planning Solicitor/ Legal Executive is required to join a local authority on a permanent basis. The local authority have some incredible projects occurring
, with a huge development venture
taking place, where they are delivering a vast amount of new homes, schools and leisure centres, as well as a link road. This in addition to the large number of homes the council buy every year for development purposes.
As a Planning Solicitor you will provide legal advice and support on all aspects of Planning; this will include drafting and negotiating complex Sections 106s, attending planning committees (currently being held remotely), advising on judicial reviews and statutory challenges and advising on all aspects of Planning Enforcement.
The Legal team is made up on 8 in total which collectively covers Planning, Property, Litigation and Licensing
The role is currently remote but there will be an office presence required once restrictions are lifted, this will only be for a couple of days per week though.
This is a great opportunity for either an experienced Solicitor/ Legal Executive to get involved in some fantastic project based work or candidates looking to transfer over from the Private Sector.Required skills and experience:
