You will be working with one of Scotland's largest accountancy firms. The firm offer a range of services to clients from accounts & audit through to corporate finance & corporate recovery. This position sits within the busy corporate recovery team. The business has grown and the firm are looking for an experienced manager to join them as they anticipate continued growth moving forwards.
Your new role
Within this varied role you will responsible for managing and taking ownership of a portfolio of cases including administrations, liquidations and sequestrations. You will also be planning and managing the efficient completion of Restructuring casework for selected cases. You will take an active role in planning and agreeing case strategy with senior members of the team, liaise with property agents, solicitors, other agents and the AIB to ensure case progression in line with the case strategy agreed with the appointee and perform initial interviews, with Partner/Director or Senior Manager support if necessary, with directors of insolvent companies or debtors.
In addition you will ensure deadlines, budgets and partner/ director/ stakeholder expectations are met on individual cases, inform the appointee or other senior team members early of issues and opportunities which will impact on the expected delivery of the case strategy, ensure that correspondence is completed in line with the firm's Restructuring procedures and other relevant policies, and ensuring that more junior members of staff are undertaking work in accordance with these and prepare draft reports and updates on case progression to relevant stakeholders including secured creditors, liquidation committees and the AIB.
You will have effective management of WIP and debtor recoveries across a portfolio of cases, support business development initiatives locally and across Scotland as required, act as a People Manager for a number of more junior members of the team, supporting and motivating colleagues; and be willing to be involved in Ad hoc restructuring and insolvency related projects.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of the administration of both corporate and personal insolvency cases gained over a number of years. Completion of the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency examination is desirable. You will also have good knowledge of an insolvency case management system such as IPS, time/practice management systems and will have a sound knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You will be flexible in your approach and able to attend client sites as and when required. A full, UK driving licence must be held.
