You will lead projects providing a full range of RIBA stage architectural services. You will have a mandate to develop opportunities, primarily in the Defence sector, which will include working directly for UK Government clients and Tier 1 Defence Supply Chain Contractors. You will have responsibility for growing the architectural business across the North and assisting in the development of architecture nationally. Your role will include supporting and developing a culture of cross-discipline working within the region, proactively contributing to the development of the client base in the North and the profile of Architecture in the Leeds office. Your role will also include financial control of a portfolio of projects.
You must be an enthusiastic registered Architect who has knowledge and experience of leading the design and assessment of buildings and facilities within the Defence sector. This will include from inception to completion, with emphasis on RIBA Stages 4 and 5. You must have the ability to work at a high level, employing a range of drawing, modelling and interpersonal skills to engage, influence and collaborate with cogent clients, colleagues and stakeholders on a broad range of interesting projects. This is not always just architecture; working with our wide range of professional colleagues you will help solve the type of complex problems our clients need our support with. You will research, write and illustrate print-ready reports and must have the ability to write fee and project bids. You will perform effectively at interview and lastly you must have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of an established team. It is essential that you have a high level of personal numeracy as you will be responsible for financial control of projects you lead.
