We are looking for two Mechanical Engineers to join our busy manufacturing team based in Britton Ferry, Wales You'll be based in a state-of-the-art paper mill and converting facilities, there's lots to get your teeth into, both PPM & reactive maintenance duties.
We need one days based engineer, working Monday to Friday and one shift based engineer working a panama shift pattern (every other weekend off).
Working in this proactive maintenance team you will need to be a team player with a keen eye for detail.
Ideally you will have worked in a medium to heavy industry setting, there is a range of machinery from robotics, conveyors flow wrappers through to large industrial boilers and compressors.
Duties of this Mechanical Maintenance Engineers Role:
Provide a Mechanical engineering service to the production team to achieve minimal down time
Proactive for carrying out planned maintenance duties
Insuring you are commercially aware of budgets to ensure there is the right amount of spares
Look at ways to continuously improve efficiencies and downtime
Collect and compile all data as requested
To encourage and motivate trainee fitters and apprentices and offer assistance
Maintaining and working in a safe manner, highlighting any safety concerns
Minimum of a level three Mechanical engineering qualification
Experience within a manufacturing maintenance department
Heavy to medium industry
Some PLC knowledge would be an advantage
Benefits of this maintenance engineer's role:
Panama shift based role, £42,500 per annum (includes shift pay)
Days based, Monday to Friday, £30,000 basic
OT available for Days based roles with engineers earning c£34,000
28 days holiday
