Location: Sheffield, UK

Full time, permanent

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Role overview:

Provide Scrum Master facilitation and leadership to agile teams. Deliver working software according to Product Owner requirements and in line with the technical and business strategy of the company.

Key role responsibilities:
Work within a project team with product and business owners to ensure that new products or services are delivered to the appropriate levels of quality within the agreed sprint cyclesOrganise and manage onshore and offshore Agile development teamsEnsure that the appropriate Agile metrics and artefacts are produced and communicated to enable the team and product owner to make informed decisionsCommunicate effectively with all project stakeholders, ensuring the right information is recorded, reported and distributed in the correct format, to the right people and in good timeCollate and present product, productivity and quality feedback to the team and other stakeholdersUnderstand the abilities and priorities within the Scrum team, and encourage and facilitate objectives and improvement around theseCreate a high performing team; resolve internal and external conflicts and establish an atmosphere of improvementIdentify the root causes of any delivery issues and work with the team to introduce corrective actions; remove all project delivery obstructions; Mercilessly blast through project obstructions - with a smileAssist with gathering and clarifying product and project requirements as required

Education & Experience requirements:

Experience
Certified Scrum Master accreditation via a recognised industry source with demonstrable industry experience (3 years min).Have a passion for software development and a good understanding of iterative and incremental software development. Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team.Proven track record in the continued optimisation of the project release schedule to support the frequent delivery of high quality releases.Any experience with LAMP technologies would be beneficial as would exposure to Atlassian tools
Skills / Knowledge

Understand the value of agile artefacts and metrics (backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task definition)First class facilitation and motivational skills to enable the team to effectively plan each sprint and achieve constructive retrospectives that lead to improved team performanceAble to relate to both business and technology people

Takes ownership and responsibility; Works well within a teamGood written and verbal skills, able to translate concepts into easily understood diagrams and visuals for both technical and non-technical people alike; must have presentation skillsEye for detail and quality, able to demonstrate empathy, common sense and pragmatism.
