Technical Support Engineer - Kendal - £35K
Senitor has the opportunity for an experienced IT professional to join a fast-growing SME which supplies support services and software/ Database development. My client are looking for an enthusiastic technical support individual who has excellent problem solving skills, ability to work in a busy environment and is able to manage a small team of technicians in the future.
This role will lead into an IT Manager position - the company have a long-standing history of retaining employees as they have excellent employee recognition alongside an unrivalled benefits package. You would be expected to progress into this role after around 2 years.

The right candidate will have the responsibility of implementing and integrating new hardware, to ensure resolution of technical issues and help track the companies in house quality system.
You should have a wide background in system design and technical support including;
- Microsoft Windows Products and Services
- High availability system design and support/ network design and support
- VLAN's, TCIP/ IP, Layer 2 protocols
- OpenVMS hardware and software (Alpha and integrity servers)
You must also have excellent written/ oral communication skills as eventually you will be expected to manage a small team of technicians and there will be a high degree of autonomy and self-management expected. The salary is negotiable dependant on experience and there are other excellent company benefits such as annual bonuses and private health insurance.
Although it is currently remote due to covid it is an office-based position so you will be required to travel to the office in Kendal 5 days a week.
