The Role |

The successful candidate will have both an entrepreneurial and quantitative mindset as well as a proactive attitude as the business is young and rapidly growing. The analyst will report directly to the owner and will play an integral role in growing the business and maintaining and managing existing relationships. Unlike some larger institutions, the analyst here will gain direct exposure to transactions, clients and third parties, from the initial analysis to completion, enabling rapid learning and professional experience.

Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Building bespoke financial models from scratch
  • Analysing and assisting with underwriting and structuring of transactions
  • Analysing data sets to understand opportunities
  • Performing market research and comparable analysis
  • Creating investment memorandums and investors presentation
  • Working with counterparties to execute business plans
  • Carrying out legal and real estate due diligence
  • Working closely with the leadership of the business to ensure a constant flow of deals and the quality of pipeline
  • Analysing financing terms (equity and debt) and aiding in deciding the most efficient capital structure to enhance returns
  • Post-transaction management of investments, including asset management strategies, assisting with investment/divestment decisions, financing and working closely with external consultants / JV partners, and operating partners and property managers.


Background and Experience |

Success in this role will require knowledge of financial services transactions with specific Real Estate knowledge or closely related sectors. The successful candidate will have robust financial modelling, analysis and research skills and come from potentially one of the following areas:

  • Real Estate
  • Real Estate Debt
  • Corporate Finance
  • M&A


Moreover, the candidate will need to demonstrate strong academic credentials from a leading, internationally regarded university, be fluent in verbal and written English, and have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a small and growing team. Other qualities include:

  • Excellent modelling and Excel skills
  • Excellent at creating presentations in PowerPoint
  • Team player, smart, flexible, honest and truly collegiate in his or her approach
  • The ability to work with high levels of autonomy within a team framework
  • Shows promise in development of entrepreneurial flair and strong business acumen, demonstrating a quickness in learning and adaptability
  • Must have a professional work attitude
  • Enjoys being challenged, works in a balanced way when under pressure and has a well-developed sense of camaraderie
  • Strong business ethics and principle
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • High sense of urgency and degree of initiative / self-motivation
